FAQ’s

How much does it cost to visit York LGBT Pride?
York Pride is a free family friendly event, whilst no entry fee is charged donations are welcome.

Where does the Parade set off from and go to?
The York Pride Parade leaves from outside York Minster (Duncombe Place). The public are invited to arrive at approx 11:45am, ready for departure around 12 noon, with the parade arriving at the Knavesmire (Tadcaster Road End) between 1:00pm and 1:30pm.

Can I bring my own Food & Drink to York Pride?
Yes you can – however full catering options are available on the day along with a fully licenced bar. Please note no glass should be brought onto site.

Where is the 2022 Official After Party held?
The Official York Pride after party will be held at Ziggy's Bar & Nightclub on Micklegate. More details here

Where is the nearest Cash Machine?
Sainsbury’s Local, 56-58 Blossom St, York YO24 1AP

Is the site Wheel Chair accessible?
Our event is held on an open grass field, which can be uneven in places, and although we will have some accessible trackway pathing, additional care should be taken. We also have an accessibility Ramp and viewing box (facing main stage), full disabled toilets, as well as limited disabled parking on site (for those with a blue badge). Please speak to a Marshall on the day for further help and advice. If you do have any special requirements email us at info@yorkpride.org.uk and we will do our best to assist.

Is the Parade Wheel Chair accessible?
The Parade follows the public highway (see the parade details above) therefore the route is relatively flat, we do go over a few cobbled streets but this is unavoidable on our Parade route.

Is the Event Autism Friendly?
York Pride will have a 'Quiet Hour' on the festival site from 11:30am before the parade arrives, where the site and stalls can be enjoyed without the crowds and noise, and a chill-zone is available at the Phoenix software stand for anyone needing an escape during the day.

Is the Event Family and Dog Friendly?
Yes, we welcome all families to our event and small fury members of the family are welcome as long as they are kept on a lead! Please clean up after your furry friends!

What food and refreshments are available?
We have a wide range of food and drink outlets on the day & Fully licensed bar selling alcohol n soft drinks including draft beer plus much much more!

Car I park at the York Pride festival?
Unfortunately we have no parking facilities at the Knavesmire site, we have limited parking for those with a blue badge.
