FAQ’s
How much does it cost to visit York LGBT Pride?
York Pride is a free family friendly event, whilst no entry fee is charged donations are welcome, we also have York Pride 2018 wristbands which come with a great deal of benefits including discounts at various shops across the city.

Where does the Parade set off from and go to?
The York Pride Parade leaves from ourside York Minster (Duncombe Place) at approx 11:45am and arrives at the Knavesmire (Tadcaster Road End) at approx 1:00pm.

How can I get to York Pride?
You can ZAP to and from Pride for just Β£1 each way on Saturday 9 June with your Pride wristband! Just hop on and show your driver your Pride wristband to travel for Β£1 each way.

Cityzap is the easiest (and cheapest!) way to travel between York and Leeds, FAST. Cityzap runs non-stop between York and Leeds, and our drivers make use of ZAP-Nav, just like you would in your car, to choose the quickest route according to traffic on the roads. What’s more, free WiFi, USB power and huge, comfy coach seats come as standard, so you can really make the most of your trip.

Can I bring my own Food & Drink to York Pride?
Yes you can – however full catering options are available on the day along with a fully licenced bar. Please note no glass should be brought onto site.

Where is the 2018 Official After Party held?
The Official York Pride after party will be held at Mansion Nightclub on Micklegate from 8:30pm. 

Where can I buy a York Pride 2018 Wristband?
Wristbands can be purchased online or from York DungeonStanley & Ramona, Grand Opera House, Pairings Wine Bar, Virgin Trains East Coast (Travel Centre, York Railway Station) & Virgin Money

Where is the nearest Cash Machine?
Sainsbury’s Local, 56-58 Blossom St, York YO24 1AP

Is the site Wheel Chair accessible?
Our event is held on an open grass field, which can be uneven in places so care should be taken, we do have full disabled toilets available as well as limited disabled parking on site (for those with a blue badge). Please speak to a Marshall on the day for further help and advice. If you do have any special requirements email us at info@yorkpride.org.uk and we will do our best to assist.

Is the Parade Wheel Chair accessible?
The Parade follows the public highway (see the parade map above) therefore the route is relatively flat, we do go over a few cobbled streets but this is unavoidable on our Parade route. We have a limited number of spaces available for wheelchair users or those who would find walking the route challenging please see this page 

Is the Event Family and Dog Friendly?
Yes, we welcome all families to our event and small fury members of the family are welcome as long as they are kept on a lead! Please clean up after your fury friends!

Where can I download the York Pride 2018 poster to print out?

What food and refreshments are available?
We have a wide range of food and drink outlets on the day & Fully licensed bar selling alcohol n soft drinks including draft beer plus much much more!

Car I park at the York Pride festival?
Unfortunately we have no parking facilities at the Knavesmire site, we have limited parking for those with a blue badge. Please see https://www.itravelyork.info/driving/parking/ for more info on parking in York.
