York Pride LGBT community pot criteria:
The York Pride LGBT community pot provides one-off donations of between £100 and £300 to registered charities and not-for-profit organisations. The funding we provide is for the benefit of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) community of York and North Yorkshire. Projects most likely to gain funding should raise awareness and educate the public about the issues and difficulties affecting the lives of LGBT people and cultivate a sentiment in favour of equality and diversity in particular through celebrating the diversity of the LGBT community.
Requests falling outside our criteria include:
- Fundraising events or challenges
- Activities which collect funds for redistribution to other charities or individuals
- Purchase of land or buildings
- Refurbishment to fabric of buildings, including lift installations
- Overseas appeals
- Expeditions or overseas travel
- Promotion of religion
- Sponsorship and marketing promotions
- Research projects
- Endowment funds
- Political donations
How to apply:
There are four rounds of funding every year; please see the timescales below. Decisions may not be finalised until up to two months after the closing date of each round. Please take this into consideration when completing your application.
